The Imperfect Nature of Humanity and the Eternal Unity of God The light and the darkness, the right and the left, are brothers of each other. They are inseparable. All opposites in this world come from one divine source and exist together in harmony, though they may appear to be in conflict. Light reveals darkness, and darkness makes the light known. The right cannot exist without the left, nor good without the contrast of evil. These opposites are reflections of the same divine mystery — expressions of balance within creation. Therefore, those who are good are not absolutely good, and those who are bad are not absolutely bad. Life is not truly life, and death is not truly death, for all these are passing states in the cycle of divine existence. They are temporary appearances, not eternal realities.
