The Imperfect Nature of Humanity and the Eternal Unity of God
The light and the darkness, the right and the left, are brothers of each other. They are inseparable. All opposites in this world come from one divine source and exist together in harmony, though they may appear to be in conflict. Light reveals darkness, and darkness makes the light known. The right cannot exist without the left, nor good without the contrast of evil. These opposites are reflections of the same divine mystery — expressions of balance within creation.
Therefore, those who are good are not absolutely good, and those who are bad are not absolutely bad. Life is not truly life, and death is not truly death, for all these are passing states in the cycle of divine existence. They are temporary appearances, not eternal realities. Everything that has form will one day be dissolved into its origin — the divine source from which it first came. In the end, all things return to the beginning.
Yet, those who are exalted above the world — those who have risen beyond duality, beyond the illusions of good and evil, life and death — are indissoluble and eternal. They live in divine truth, beyond the changes of the world. They abide in the eternal light where opposites no longer exist, in perfect oneness with God.
That is why human nature is imperfect. Humanity lives within the realm of opposites, caught between light and darkness, between the spiritual and the material. Because of this imperfection, humans commit sins and errors. Human thoughts are not constant; they change with emotion and circumstance.
Sometimes, human thoughts are violent, filled with anger, pride, or desire for power. Sometimes, they are peaceful, filled with love, humility, and kindness. At one moment, the mind is lustful, drawn toward the desires of the flesh, and at another, it becomes pious, lifted toward purity and holiness. This inner conflict is the mark of human imperfection — the struggle between the higher divine nature and the lower earthly nature.
But the Holy Words — the divine truth revealed through the Spirit of God — have the power to remove evil thoughts from the human mind. The Holy Words act as a cleansing light, shining into the darkness of the heart. They awaken the soul to its divine origin and restore peace to the restless mind.
When a person meditates on holy truth, prays with sincerity, and lives by divine wisdom, the light of God begins to purify their inner being. The violent thoughts become calm, the lustful thoughts lose their power, and the mind becomes a vessel of peace and purity.
In this way, the imperfect human nature is slowly transformed by divine grace. Though imperfection belongs to humanity, perfection belongs to God — and through the power of the Holy Word, the human soul is lifted toward the eternal, indissoluble truth of the Divine.
Thus, the opposites dissolve in unity, the imperfect finds perfection, and the restless soul returns to its eternal home in the Unborn, Holy God.
